WMI is a retained search firm. What is
the difference between a retained and a contingency firm?
Retained search firms are paid a fee, by the company initiating
the search, to find a qualified candidate(s) for a specific position(s).
Retained firms, such as WMI, perform integral roles throughout the
entire hiring process, including relocation and negotiation. A
contingency firm is contacted by a company to produce a number of
candidates —contingency firms are only paid upon placement of an
individual(s).
Who is a client? Who is a candidate?
Our clients are the hiring company. Candidates refer to the
individuals contacted and presented by WMI to the hiring company.
I've submitted my resume. When will I
hear back from WMI about my Profile and potential jobs I'm qualified
for?
Once we receive your resume, we will evaluate your
qualifications and experience to determine if they match any currently
active search assignments we're working on. If they do, you will be
contacted by a WMI consultant. Because our search assignments are, by
nature, highly specialized, our policy is to make direct and immediate
contact with potential candidates. If experiences and qualifications do
not match an active assignment, and due to the large number of resumes
we receive daily, it's not possible for us to personally contact every
person submitting a profile and resume. However, we do keep resumes in
our database and they are continually reviewed and analyzed for new
assignments.
How will I know if I'm a candidate for
active searches you're currently working on?
If your qualifications meet the needs of any of our assignments,
you'll be contacted by a WMI consultant. We review all resumes when
initiating every distinct search. Because we are a retained search firm,
handling many specialized searches, the number and status of our
searches is proprietary information. In turn, your information and
status is also regarded with the highest degree of confidentiality.
Is the information I submit to WMI
confidential?
Absolutely. Any information you provide to WMI is regarded as
both proprietary and confidential and is kept is strict accordance with the Wyndham Mills International privacy policy.
Does Wyndham Mills handle both
national and international searches?
Yes. Many times our clients contract with us to find qualified
candidates for positions both here in the U.S. and abroad.
